ArmInfo. Opposition MP Garnik Danielyan from the parliamentary faction “Armenia” has called for equalizing the rights of military personnel who participated in military operations and those who became disabled during such operations.
In a post on his Facebook, Danielyan explained that participants in military operations in the USSR Armed Forces, including those in the Great Patriotic War, receive allowances of 12,000 drams, and military personnel who took part in the defense of Armenia, receive only 5,000 drams. According to him, disabled military personnel approached him and asked for help in restoring their infringed rights.
However, he later learned that the Ministry of Social Labor of Armenia they did not consider the proposed changes appropriate. The MP mentioned that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the head of the Ministry of Social Labor had promised to review this decision for disabled military personnel. In light of this, the oppositionist vowed to continue fighting to ensure that the intended payments for disabled military personnel are sent directly to them and not be appropriated by others.
