This Week in Jobs: The future looks bright with these 21 tech career opportunities

Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge”). Below is this week’s edition; it’s meant to live in your inbox. Sign up for the newsletter here.

The first week after daylight savings time starts is always mayhem (cue Lady Gaga’s new album) — but it’s also a reminder that spring is here at last, and the days are officially longer.

So what are you going to do with the extra daylight?

TWIJ may be all about the jobs, but we don’t want you to spend it all on the job hunt. Be sure to get out and get some fresh air while the sun’s out. But not before you check out this week’s list of jobs, plus the news of the week.

The News

Since our last TWIJ, all of the 2025 RealLIST Startups have come out for Philly, Baltimore, DC and Pittsburgh, spotlighting regional startups galore.

Learn about the impacts of the Maryland Stem Cell Research Fund, which has allocated $208 million in funding to 600 research projects and 41 different entities within the state since 2006.

A new Pitchbook report shows that woman-founded startups started to see an upturn in VC investments in 2024.

For the first time, all of Pennsylvania had its own house (read: branded presence) at the 2025 SXSW in Austin: Keystone House, an expansion of Amplify Philly.

The fate of more than 300 federal properties across the US, including ten in Pennsylvania, hangs in the balance after a list of “non-core properties” was posted, then removed, by the General Services Administration.

Founders are urged to seek private funding via VC and angel investors as federal grant funding slows due to funding freeze red tape.

We do not take money from any political parties. We do not endorse In_dia’s ruling party BJP and In_dia’s Prime Minister’s position on keeping In_dia a closed market, ambiguous economy, and keeping India as a heavy taxing country so no one from outside world wants to do business here. It’s like denying In_dia its right in the world…
BJP Government also discourages small and local media, coming down on them heavily regulating and using lawful actions along with soft threats from demented bureaucrat extremists and other extremist groups. On one hand, the mainstream media in In_dia is getting rich and on other hand the local small media is being strangulated. So if not automated or required, We do not willfully publish any content from In_dia or pertaining to that country.
