The 2025 Blue Angels air show season will soon be underway as the U.S. Navy flight demonstration team gears up to make its debut appearance of the year at the Naval Air Facility El Centro Air Show on Saturday.
NAF El Centro serves as the Blue Angels’ winter training facility, making it the perfect location to serve as the team’s debut air show every year.
General admission for the air show is free and open to the public to attend. Gates will open up at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Here’s everything to know about the NAF El Centro Air Show.
2025 NAF El Centro Air Show schedule — When do the Blue Angels fly?
Gates for the NAF El Centro Air Show will open at 8:30 a.m. Fans will have a chance to claim their spot and check out static display aircraft and booth displays before performances start.
Here’s a look at the full schedule:
- 8:30 a.m. — Gates open
- 10 a.m. — Navy Band
- 11:50 a.m. — Naturalization ceremony
- Noon — Commanding officer’s introduction
- 12:15 p.m. — VFA 122 Tag demo
- 12:35 p.m. — Motorcross
- 12:45 p.m. — P-51 demo
- 1 p.m. — Heritage flight, F-16/P-51
- 1:30 p.m. — Mustang Mania
- 1:45 p.m. — Motorcross
- 2 p.m. — Fat Albert Airlines
- 2:30 p.m. — The Blue Angels
Where can I park at the NAF El Centro Air Show?
There will be approximately 3,000 parking spots available for the NAF El Centro Air Show. Outside of VIP passes, parking will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. The base will turn away public vehicles once lots are filled.
Visitors will enter NAF El Centro from the main gate and proceed onto B Street. Traffic control personnel will fill designated spots in order, so be on the lookout and follow their directions.
Can I still purchase tickets for the NAF El Centro Air Show?
Executive chalet and box seating tickets are sold out. You can still attend the show via general admission.
What can I bring to the Blue Angels air show?
Here is a list of items authorized to be brought to the NAF El Centro Air Show:
- Cell phones, tablets and FRS transceivers
- Handheld portable televisions, radios and scanners
- Small fanny packs and purses
- Personal umbrellas and sunshades
- Cameras and camcorders
- Camera bags
- Folding chairs and lawn chairs
- Certified service dogs
- Wheelchairs
- Baby bags, wagons/strollers
All bags will be subject to search upon entry.
What can’t I bring into the air show?
- Ice chests or coolers. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a specified lane at each gate.
- Large bags such as convention bags, duffle bags, and briefcases
- Large backpacks
- Gang-related clothing or attire, colors, patches or anything that depicts or supports hatred, racism, prejudice, drug use, violence or extremist views
- All weapons, regardless of permit. This includes, but is not limited to, firearms, knives (regardless of design or purpose such as pocket knives and multi-tools), canes and walking sticks (except for handicap use), Mace, OC, CS or any chemical weapon, batons, martial arts gear, or any other items that the security force deems dangerous
- Alcoholic beverages
- Drugs, narcotics, marijuana or any associated paraphernalia
- Pets (other than service animals)
- Glass bottles, jars or containers
- Flammable liquids or substances
- Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, in-lines, hide-away, roller blades, and hoverboards
- No outside food and beverage (bottle of water is permitted)
- Tents, portable or temporary awnings, cabanas, beach umbrellas
- Kites
- Laser pointer or other laser devices
- Drones or any remote-controlled aircraft, vehicles, or toys
- No fireworks or other forms of explosives
