Aged care providers’ technology will be examined by a government-led taskforce in preparation for major changes to systems, amid concerns some companies are under prepared for landmark reforms.
The Department of Health and Aged Care (DHAC) has tapped Canberra services firm Reason Group for a quick-fire review of select providers, which will report by April, ahead of new laws for aged care that come into effect in July.
The reforms have triggered an overhaul of the government’s own aged care technology systems, with Salesforce and its partners Accenture and Capgemini the big winners in the stuttering $1.2 billion uplift.
