Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

We’ve already had some big comic book releases this year like “Captain America: Brave New World,” Season 3 of “Invincible,” and the series premiere of “Daredevil: Born Again.” But what about the rest of the year? Between the sheer number of releases and the always-changing schedules, it can be tough to keep track.

‘Thunderbolts*’ (May 2, 2025)

The next big superhero blockbuster is “Thunderbolts*” directed by Jake Schreier. What’s gearing up to be an indie-flavored superhero blast brings together anti-heroes from all over the Marvel Cinematic Universe to fight a major threat to the world.

‘Ironheart’ (June 24, 2025)

It’s been a few years since we met tech prodigy Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” In this six-episode Disney+ miniseries, Williams returns home to Chicago where she has to pit technology against magic in the form of the villain The Hood (Anthony Ramos).

‘Superman’ (July 11, 2025)

We still don’t know a lot yet about the plot of James Gunn’s “Superman,” but we know it looks to restore a lot of the innocence the Zack Snyder years chose to leave behind. David Corenswet plays Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan is Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult is Lex Luthor, and a long list of superheroes make guest appearances.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ (July 25, 2025)

With the Fantastic Four finally at Marvel Studios, the quartet are the premiere heroes on an Earth not completely unlike our own but different enough. The heroes have to save their Earth from the world-eater Galactus, and the devourer’s herald, the Silver Surfer.

‘Eyes of Wakanda’ (August 6, 2025)

In the Wakandan tongue, the Hatut Zeraze are the Dogs of War. In the four-episode miniseries “Eyes of Wakanda,” these warriors will travel the world to rescue vibranium artifacts.

‘Peacemaker’ Season 2 (August 2025)

We know Season 2 of “Peacemaker” is supposed to premiere on Max in August, but we don’t have an exact date yet. The second season will consist of eight episodes. Just about everyone who survived Season 1 will return. The cast will add Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, and Tim Meadows as an ARGUS agent named Langston Fleury.

‘Marvel Zombies’ (October 3, 2025)

In October we return to the zombified world introduced in Season 1 of “What If…?” in which superheroes and supervillains have become victims of a zombie plague along with everyone else. The miniseries will be four episodes long.

‘Wonder Man’ (December 2025)

We know “Wonder Man” is set to stream on Disney+ in December and that it will consist of eight episodes. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor auditioning for a superhero role. He’s joined by Ben Kingsley who reprises his role of Trevor Slattery and Ed Harris who plays Simon’s agent.

‘Spider-Noir’ (2025)

Starring Nicolas Cage as the aging Spider-Man Noir, “Spider-Noir” is expected toward the end of 2025 on MGM+, but there’s no specific release date yet.

‘Sandman’ Season 2 (2025)

We know little about what to expect from the second and final season of ‘Sandman,’ only that it is supposed to be released on Netflix sometime this year.

We do not take money from any political parties. We do not endorse In_dia’s ruling party BJP and In_dia’s Prime Minister’s position on keeping In_dia a closed market, ambiguous economy, and keeping India as a heavy taxing country so no one from outside world wants to do business here. It’s like denying In_dia its right in the world…
BJP Government also discourages small and local media, coming down on them heavily regulating and using lawful actions along with soft threats from demented bureaucrat extremists and other extremist groups. On one hand, the mainstream media in In_dia is getting rich and on other hand the local small media is being strangulated. So if not automated or required, We do not willfully publish any content from In_dia or pertaining to that country.
“The parasitic left-wing media and their bottom-feeding cronies have devolved into nothing more than freeloading scavengers, desperately leeching onto every possible news outlet to vomit their hatred for President Trump, Elon Musk, the GOP, and whatever shred of sanity remains in this world. If this portal ever falls prey to their filth—if any of their fraudulent, brain-dead propaganda worms its way into our automated news curation—then it’s open season on these slime-covered hacks. These sewer-dwelling propagandists, along with their PR lackeys and shadowy intelligence handlers, keep trying to smear us with their garbage. Like disobedient pets, they need to be dealt with. And dealt with they shall be—right here on Khumaer.us, the personal news battleground of Khumaer Bayas. Let’s expose them for the lying vermin they are!”
