Perkins focuses on future engines
UK-based engine manufacturer Perkins plans to highlight its upcoming 2606 model in Germany. The 12.9-litre six-cylinder engine will replace the existing 15- and 18-litre models due to its superior power output. Perkins will also show its recently launched 904J engine, as well as release more details about its Project Coeus alternative fuels-based project. Learn more.
Off-Highway Research to hold market briefing
Specialist market research and forecasting company, Off-Highway Research (OHR), will hold an in-depth briefing on the state of the global construction equipment market. The briefing will take place on the second day of the Bauma exhibition, Tuesday 8 April, at 10.00 am at conference room B41 close to hall B4 at the Messe München show ground. Volvo CE goes all electric
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has announced that it will only be displaying electric equipment on its stand – which it said will be the “first-ever zero-emission-only lineup” at Bauma Munich. It also said it will be unveiling a new electric machine that is designed for key industrial segments in the construction industry. Read more here.
Bauma innovation award: finalists 2025
All finalists for the Bauma innovation awards 2025 have been announced in the five categories that the awards are held in. The five categories are: Climate protection; Digitalisation; Mechanical engineering; Building; Research. The awards take place the day before Bauma, which is held from 7-13 April 2025 in Munich, Germany. See all of the finalists here.
Hyundai CE display includes hydrogen excavator
In total, the South Korean company will have up to 18 machines on display. Of those, ten will be either all-new or feature new updates. Included in that lineup is a pre-production version of the HW155H, a 15-tonne wheeled excavator which is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system. At Bauma 2022 this was a static model, but at this year’s event the machine will be working in the demonstration area. Read more.
