More than 100 health care professionals and over 30 vendors from across Arkansas are expected to attend the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association’s annual conference on March 28 and 29 in Rogers, according to a news release.
A pre-conference event is scheduled for March 27 at the Rogers Convention Center.
The conference will feature keynote speaker Barb Bancroft, a certified nurse practitioner. Bancroft has led more than 3,000 continuing education events in the United States and Canada focusing on pathophysiology, physical assessment and pharmacology.
She’s also the author of several books, including her newest: “A Bacteria, a Virus, and a Parasite Walk Into a Bar.” The release shows that “her session will blend clinical insights with engaging storytelling, providing valuable takeaways for professionals at all levels.”
The conference’s hands-on educational workshops include X-ray interpretation, point-of-care ultrasound, and IUS management training. It will also include a panel discussion with nurse practitioners, nurse leaders, and supporters who participated in the 1995 legislation creating advanced practice in Arkansas.
