Entries open as Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional returns to Grimsthorpe Castle, near Bourne

Owners of cherished, long-forgotten family motors are being invited to join a popular car show this summer.

The Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional returns to Grimsthorpe Castle, near Bourne, on Saturday, July 26 after last year’s record-breaking event.

Ticket information will be released soon, but entries are now being taken for the Concours de L’Ordinaire of unexceptional cars for those produced between 1970 and 2000.

The event aims to celebrate long-forgotten everyday family cars, with last summer’s 10th anniversary bash attracting more than 2,000 cars and more than 4,000 guests.

The public display had an eclectic mix ranging from a perfectly unexceptional Vauxhall Belmont to a base-spec, hubcap-shod W140 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

A completely unrestored 1982 Toyota Hilux won the Concours de L’Ordinare and took the coveted title of 2024 Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional Champion.

Other category winners included a 1998 Renault Clio, an Applejack Austin Metro and a Sunderland-built Nissan Primera.

“Last year’s record attendance shows just how much everyone loves the unexceptional cars that they or their parents grew up with” said Mark Roper, managing director of Hagerty International.

“This year the Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional is going to be bigger and better than ever and with the expanded list of qualifying years, the Concours de L’Ordinaire is going to bring some fascinating and no less unexceptional cars that we have not seen in the event before.”

This year’s entry has been expanded to span the years 1970 to 2000, opening up a world of unexceptional models from the 1990s. Numbers are limited, but to enter click here.

Gates will open at 7.30am with a programme of events running until 5pm.

The live stage will feature speakers, special guests and live music.

Hagerty Drivers Club members will get a 25 per cent discount off tickets.

We do not take money from any political parties. We do not endorse In_dia’s ruling party BJP and In_dia’s Prime Minister’s position on keeping In_dia a closed market, ambiguous economy, and keeping India as a heavy taxing country so no one from outside world wants to do business here. It’s like denying In_dia its right in the world…
BJP Government also discourages small and local media, coming down on them heavily regulating and using lawful actions along with soft threats from demented bureaucrat extremists and other extremist groups. On one hand, the mainstream media in In_dia is getting rich and on other hand the local small media is being strangulated. So if not automated or required, We do not willfully publish any content from In_dia or pertaining to that country.
“The parasitic left-wing media and their bottom-feeding cronies have devolved into nothing more than freeloading scavengers, desperately leeching onto every possible news outlet to vomit their hatred for President Trump, Elon Musk, the GOP, and whatever shred of sanity remains in this world. If this portal ever falls prey to their filth—if any of their fraudulent, brain-dead propaganda worms its way into our automated news curation—then it’s open season on these slime-covered hacks. These sewer-dwelling propagandists, along with their PR lackeys and shadowy intelligence handlers, keep trying to smear us with their garbage. Like disobedient pets, they need to be dealt with. And dealt with they shall be—right here on Khumaer.us, the personal news battleground of Khumaer Bayas. Let’s expose them for the lying vermin they are!”
