Lin might be best known for his work in the Fast & Furious franchise as the helmer of five installments of the high-octane movie series. Early into the production of Fast X, however, Lin suddenly departed the project. Lin also directed Star Trek Beyond with his TV directing credits including True Detective, S.W.A.T., Magnum P.I., and Warrior.
BRZRKR Movie Moves Forward
The BRZRKR movie is written by The Batman Part II co-writer Mattson Tomlin. A description of the film, per Netflix, describes BRZRKR as a “brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as ‘B’ is half-mortal and half-god, cursed and compelled to violence, even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge — working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires — the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence … and how to end it.”

Keanu Reeves reveals one item he’s yet to tick off his bucket list.
The original comic book was conceived by Reeves, who collaborated with artist Ron Garney and comics author Matt Kindt for its development. With the first issues selliver over 600,000 copies worldwide, the BRZRKR comics have sold over 3.5 million worldwide, factoring in special editions and specials. They spawned a franchise which also includes a tie-in novel, China Miéville and Reeves’ The Book of Elsewhere, which was released last year. An anime spinoff series written by Tomlin is also in the works.
When the plans were put together to turn BRZRKR into a feature film, Reeves was considering directing. He told Collider in a 2022 interview that there was a “33%” chance he would direct the film himself, but that he was open to collaborating with the right person to take that spot.
“I know how it’s a lot of work, but the film that I directed, The Man of Tai Chi, was born, I became the director because I was part of the writing process, and I didn’t want to hand it over,” he said. “I was like, oh, okay. I have to direct this. I’m not quite there yet on BRZRKR. I have to read the script, but I also, I’m interested in having a collaborator and what they could bring to it.”
The BRZRKR movie doesn’t yet have a release date.
