Flights from London, Budapest, Prague, Tirana, Krakow, Palermo, Cagliari to name only a few
With the Bologna airport 100 km away, it is often said that an exhibition like Rimini is not easily accessible, especially from abroad. But starting this year, there will be more direct flights to Rimini from European and Italian cities, visiting the fair faster in terms of logistics.
“The most interesting domestic flights are those from the Sicilian cities of Cagliari and Palermo,” says the president of Macfrut Renzo Piraccini, “because we have prepared travel packages starting from 250 euros, including a return flight and three nights in a hotel. Seats are limited and reserved for operators attending the show and those accompanying them.”
However, special offers are also available from other countries: “From Tirana, Prague, and Budapest it will be possible to land in Rimini, with three nights and return flight included, at 350 euros. Even in this case, seats must be booked in advance and it should not be forgotten that the Rimini-San Marino airport is only 10 km from the fairgrounds, and in any case, there will be special shuttles and frequent transfers to the city.”
Other direct flights to the Rimini-San Marino Airport will be operated from London, Basel, Bucharest, Krakow, Luxembourg, and Kaunas.
In addition to flights, seven Frecciarossa trains from the north and seven from the south will make daily stops at the fair’s railway station, thanks to an agreement with the railway company.
Macfrut has also renewed its partnership with Emirates. Thanks to this agreement it will be possible to fly at special rates with arrival at Bologna airport. The airport is connected to the Rimini Expo Center by special shuttles.
The fact that it was possible to increase the number of flights and strengthen the relationship between the airport and the fair was foreseen last summer when Piraccini was appointed to the Board of Directors of the “F. Fellini” Airport. And so it has come to pass.
