Jacksonville, Ark. (KATV) — A deceased woman was found by the 19th Security Forces Squadron on March 5, 2025, at the Little Rock Air Force Base.
Vehicle of 95-year-old Belva Day found crashed near Little Rock AFB, body found inside
The Jacksonville Police Department responded to the area to assist in an investigation that was launched shortly after.
A vehicle, which was found to be registered under Belva Day of Mountain Home was located at an embankment in a shrouded, wooded area at the base.
According to a joint press release, officials reported that a deceased female was found.
She was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for identification after being removed from the vehicle.
March 12, 2025, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identified female as Day.
JPD is still engaged in the investigation, and more information will be released once made available.
