Foreign Minister on visit to Turkey on official visit

The Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili is on official visit to Turkey. The official visit will have multiple bilateral meeting of importance as well.

The official visit was started yesterday. On the first day Georgian foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili meets his counterpart from Turkey namely Hakan Fidan.

She on this occasion also had another r important meeting with Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In this meeting with Turkey parliament speaker Maka Botchorishvili raised issues of economic cooperation as well.

Moreover, both sides also discuss stop to enhance the cooperation and stabilisation of bilateral relations as well. As Turkey is one of the major trade partners of Georgia so both sides gave special focus on these issues as well.

The issues of political and economic relevance were also discussed by both the sides along with other issues as well. It includes the discussion on High-Level Strategic Partnership Council format and the need to exchange high-level and top-level visits by officials from both sides.

At the same time the foreign minister of Georgia as well as the regional cooperation in transport and energy was another focus of the discussions. Both sides underlined the strategic importance of the Black Sea and the need to fully exploit its existing potential to increase connectivity and trade.

Similarly, both sides discussed the transport and energy sector cooperations as well. The Georgian minister said that in present time our both countries required the best efforts to utilise the black sea route to utilises its full potential.

She also said that we have discussed the importance of the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey trilateral strategic partnership platform. As per the Georgian minister this is not only will help the Georgia rather this will also help the many other countries of Europe as well as of the Caucasus region also.

While taking to social media handles the Georgian Finance minister underlined that “ it was my pleasers to have a discussion with my counterpart from the Turky  Hakan Fidan. I will remain thankful for their warm reception as well.
