As reported, on March 14, an international scientific conference on the topic “Protection of Ancient Human Settlements: Threats and Modern Approaches” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture told APA.
It was noted that scientists, researchers, experts, as well as representatives of international organizations in the relevant field from several countries participated in the conference.
On March 16, a visit to the Khudavang Monastery in the Kalbajar District was organized for the foreign participants of the conference.
The conference participants left the monument complex with rich impressions.
Note that at the international scientific conference, panel discussions were held on the topics “Ancient Human Settlements – The Cradle of Cultural Heritage,” “Ancient Human Settlements in the Face of Climate Change and Armed Conflicts,” and “Ancient Human Settlements of Azerbaijan as Part of World Heritage: The Urgent Need for Protection.”
