Kiefer Sutherland is coming to town as the star of “The Florist.”
Sutherland is leading the action thriller, which is set to film in New Jersey.
Jersey locals are needed to work as background actors in the movie, Bill Marinella Casting tells NJ Advance Media.
The extras casting director says “The Florist” will be filming in and around Jersey City and Hoboken from the end of March until the end of April.
Sutherland plays Carl Rikker in the film, a florist who is also an assassin. He finds himself protecting a young girl in danger in the movie, which also stars Jean Reno, a veteran of French cinema.
Babak Najafi (“Proud Mary,” “London Has Fallen”) is helming the film, which is scripted by Scott Windhauser and Eran Creevy.
Per the casting director, the production is looking for “people to portray mysterious-looking men and women and restaurant patrons, people to drive cars on screen, and a variety of other background.”

Sutherland, of course, is no stranger to action thrillers.
The actor, who got his start in films like “Stand by Me,” (1986), won an Emmy in 2006 for playing counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer in the series “24,” which aired on Fox for nine seasons, with TV film “24: Redemption” airing in 2008.
Reno is also an actor with plenty of action credits to his name. He’s known for his roles in films like “Léon: The Professional” (1984), “La Femme Nikita” (1990), “Mission: Impossible” (1996), “Ronin” (1998) and many more.
