BERLIN — At ITB Berlin 2025 — a travel trade show that took place from March 4-6 — Messe Berlin announced the launch of ITB Americas, which is billed as the first dedicated B2B travel trade show for North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 10-12, 2026, in Guadalajara, Mexico, and will cover all parts of the travel industry. It will include an exhibition, a hosted buyer program and a high-level convention. Eighty percent of its exhibitors are expected to be from the Americas and 20% will be from other regions of the world.
Messe Berlin believes that ITB Americas will strengthen ITB’s presence in the Western Hemisphere and combine with ITB Berlin, ITB Asia, ITB China and ITB India to create a global network to connect the travel industry. It also shared that the latest findings of IPK International, an organization that monitors the world’s travel patterns, confirm a positive trend in outbound travel to North, Central and South America, indicating demand for this type of event.
According to David Reutz, Senior Vice President at Messe Berlin, Mexico’s position as a link between North, Central and South America, and Guadalajara’s status as a thriving innovation hub, make the city a prime location for the event.
During ITB Berlin 2025, Messe Berlin, representatives of the State of Jalisco (where Guadalajara is located) and the Mexican ambassador in Berlin signed a memorandum of understanding.
“We are delighted to also be represented on the American continent with ITB Americas,” Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin, stated. “As the only travel trade show that caters for the entire continent and all areas of the travel industry, we are creating a hub for international dialogue — with Mexico as the ideal venue.”
