Qatar Chamber, in collaboration with Al Maraya Exhibition and Conferences Company, is set to organize the inaugural edition of ‘Gulf-Africa Businesswomen’s Forum’ to spotlight investment opportunities in the Gulf and African markets.
The forum, which is scheduled from May 5-6, 2025, seeks to foster economic partnerships among businesswomen, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge on the latest trends in entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, Qatar Chamber board member and President of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, highlighted that the forum serves as a thriving platform to explore key issues and challenges in cooperation between Gulf and African businesswomen.
Al Ahmadani also emphasized Africa as an attractive investment destination across various sectors. The goal of the forum is to enhance collaboration among businesswomen, which is a priority for Qatar Chamber. Al Ahmadani stressed that the Qatari Businesswomen Forum focuses on the growth of women entrepreneurs and supports them to contribute to the Qatari economy.
Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, underscored the Chamber’s commitment to sponsoring this forum. The event will gather businesswomen from the Gulf and Africa to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment prospects on both sides.
Al Mansouri also highlighted that this sponsorship reflects the Chamber’s dedication to supporting businesswomen and enhancing their role in economic development. The Acting General Manager pointed out that the forum will open new horizons for trade and investment cooperation.
Jaber Al Mansouri, CEO of Al Maraya Exhibitions and Conferences, emphasized that the forum’s objectives go beyond networking and meetings, aiming to establish lasting bridges for future cooperation in trade and investment within women’s entrepreneurship.
The forum will feature former and current African senior officials along with several female CEOs of major African companies. Moreover, it includes panel discussions, aimed at reviewing success stories and highlighting promising sectors with investment opportunities for businesswomen from both the Gulf and Africa.
