Russia has fully restored control over the city of Sudzha in Kursk Oblast, said the Russian Ministry of Defense, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
It was stated that Sudzha has been liberated.
Note that in the last few weeks, fierce battles have taken place for the city of Sudja in Kursk Oblast, which came under Ukrainian control in August last year. Control over Sudja has been restored as a result of the Russian military’s “Potok” operation, which was conducted through the gas pipeline. On March 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Kursk Oblast to oversee the successful operation. This was Putin’s first visit to the region since the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack. The Russian president held a briefing at the command post, dressed in military attire. Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov briefed Putin, stating that 86% of the area had been liberated.
